Free tax calculators — S-Corp savings, estimated quarterly payments, and 1099 vs W-2 cost comparison. Interactive tools from a licensed CPA.
I built four free tax calculators for small business owners and self-employed filers. The S-Corp Savings Calculator estimates the spread between self-employment tax on your full business profit and FICA tax on a reasonable W-2 salary — the core math behind whether an S-Corp election pays for itself. The Estimated Quarterly Tax Calculator works backward from projected annual income, applies the federal income tax brackets and SE tax where it applies, subtracts withholding, and divides what remains across the four IRS due dates (April, June, September, January) so you stay inside the safe-harbor zone. The Reasonable Compensation Calculator triangulates a defensible S-Corp officer salary range from industry, location, hours, and experience — a starting opening number, not a formal study. The W-2 vs 1099 Calculator compares both sides — worker take-home and employer total cost — using current FICA rates and a simplified benefits estimate. All four calculators are free, require no login, and run instantly in the browser.
